I am having so much fun!

I am now using Winged Heart Ohio's new kit "Ye Ole DressShoppe. It is a huge kit filled with so many beautiful papers and elements to choose from. Yes, it is another freebie kit and I know you will love it as much as I do so just click on her name above and it will take you to her blog where you can download it. I have created three layouts so far and am excited to share them with you so here they are.....

I saw myself standing in front of the shops windows looking in to see what was inside when I was doing the first and second layouts and for the third layout I just imagined what a many years ago fitting room might have looked like. It has been so much fun, I have a very vivid imagination as you can see. Please leave me a comment because I do value them as we all should, they help us to learn and become better at creating.
                            May God bless you always

My second LO using Mirrored Reflections

Hello, I am here to post my second LO from Winged Heart Ohio's  Mirrored Reflections kit. It is of my mother and my two older brothers and myself taken in the 1940's. Leave your comments I would like to know what you think of it.
My oldest brother was born with his toes on his feet grown together and other critical issues that required fourteen years of surgery and most of it was experimental surgery because it had never been attempted before. You see him above in a home made cart. He was fourteen years old when he had his final surgery on his feet and legs, it was very successful, the surgeons placed a sheep's bone into his one leg to give him the main bone going down from the knee to the foot somehow. I don't even know all the details but he never walked with a limp afterwards.  He grew into a remarkable man. My next to the oldest brother and I really bonded when we were teenagers, he was two years older than me and I adored him, he was my protector. As a teen he looked like Ricky Nelson. At the age of twenty he and his fiancĂ©e were killed by a drunk driver, needless to say, it devastated my entire family and I lived in shock for years, I could not stand being without him. I could only think of my loss, didn't stop to think about my devastated parents that had to go on and raise the remaining four of us children, all because of a man who didn't stop drinking but decided to drive anyhow. Do not ever drink alcoholic drinks and drive while you are drinking or after you have been drinking! You and others will have to live with the consequences for the rest of your lives! So I dig out my pictures to scrap and live with the memories each time! I am so grateful to my parents that raised us in Church because I grew to know God and the truth of His son Jesus at an early age and allowed Jesus to walk with me many times carrying me through the trials of life. I depended on Jesus for emotional healing and restoration knowing how much He loved me and comforted me. I pray that you know God the Father, Jesus Christ His son and the Holy Spirit so that they can minister to you through your trials in this life.
Photos sure do stir up emotions don't they?
I pray that God will bless you always

Winged Heart Ohio's Mirror Reflections Kit

Hello, so glad you stopped by I hope that your day has been a blessed day. My friend Sally of WingedHeart Ohio designed a lovely kit titled Mirror Reflections and I created a layout about myself starting in the upper left side at age sixteen and going through my high school years. The last mirror shows me  as an adult. I am trying to make time for me to scrap several more layouts with this kit but it is also spring cleaning home and garden time, I have a lot of work to get done so I will just have to do a bit of each at a time. Do stop back and see how I am progressing.
Here is my creation from Mirrored Reflections.
As always, May the Lord bless you!

Welcome to my blog!

Welcome to the New Year, it is absolutely amazing
to me that next month I will become 71 years of age!
During my preteen years I was told by my doctor of
that time that I would not survive through my twenties
due to diabetes. Every visit to him he bullied me by
using fear tactics. I grew to hate him and lived in
total fear of my future, nothing to look forward to
except dying gradually, loosing body limbs due to
the diabetes and many other horrible health issues.
Well here I am at soon to be 71 years of age looking
forward to this New Year with all my body limbs
exactly where they should be, on me, and suffering
very few effects from the diabetes and it is all by
God's grace, love and mercy! I wanted to locate
that doctor, make an appointment and go to show
him that I am still living and all in tact but found
he died last year.
I am looking forward to this year, walking close to
God my father, Jesus Christ His son and my redeemer
and functioning through the power of the Holy Spirit.
I grew up in a church going family and as a child took
classes to learn about God and what I learned always
stayed deep within me and I always attended church.
I always thought I was saved (redeemed) but in 1977
I attended a new church at which they had a call to
the alter for people wanting forgiveness of their sins
and I went to that alter and accepted Jesus Christ as
my Savior and the Lord of my life and I have walked
with Him and learned His truths ever since.
What are you looking forward to in this New Year?
I pray that you will feel God's presence in your life
and feel Him drawing you close to Him, hear His
truths and accept Him, Jesus Christ His son and the
Holy Spirit and walk in newness of life with them!
I will be placing Scrapbooked pages of my life here
on my blog so do come again to visit .
